Who Qualifies to Become a Surrogate Mother?
The requirements to become a surrogate with the Center for Surrogacy & Egg Donation have been developed in conjunction with some of the most highly-rated IVF clinics in the world and are designed to protect the health and safety of our surrogates and the children they carry.
While we wish it were possible for all women who selflessly want to help a couple fulfill their dream of starting their family, there are certain basic requirements that a potential surrogate mother needs to meet in order to start the process:
Surrogate Requirements & Qualifications
Women interested in becoming a CSED surrogate are required to:
Be Between the ages of 21 and 39
Be in overall good health
Have had at least one prior pregnancy and have raised the child
Have had no major pregnancy complications
Be a non-smoker
Be reliable and committed to the surrogacy process
Have Body Mass Index (BMI) of less than 35 Calculate your BMI
Be financially stable
Live in a surrogate-friendly state (unfortunately, we currently cannot work with surrogates from Michigan, Louisiana, Nebraska, Indiana and Arizona)
